About Me
Hi there. I’m an enterprise/ investigative reporter at The Dallas Morning News.
I’ve been lucky enough to work in journalism for seven years. I’ve written about local political characters, launched investigations and covered big breaking news — the floods after Hurricane Harvey, the mass shooting in Sutherland Springs and the biker gang shootout in Waco. I’ve covered cops in Dallas, New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and unfortunately gone to way too many murder scenes to count. This job has opened my eyes to the vast suffering in our society and the humanity that somehow persists — and it makes me grateful every single day.
I grew up in the Boston area before going to Tulane University, where I studied political economy. I also lived in Buenos Aires (for six months) and Jerusalem (for three months). Si, hablo español.
